Getting lots of text messages about blasts and warnings, are we? Yeah, those texts that state that terrorists will use you and me for their next bomb blast. These text messages are total bullshit. Case-in-point, a message I received from a friend:
ISPR Pakistan iz warning dun answer calls fRm unKnoWn numbers or cAll bck… bomb ko kisi numbr se attach kia ja raha hai… plz c0nvEy diS msg FASSTT!!!
It seems like it was written by three different persons before finally reaching me. Observe the changes in spellings as they go from zero-to-fail in under five seconds.
ISPR Pakistan would never warn you through text messages. You’re just not that important.

The person behind these text messages is probably an overly-excited 12 year old who doesn’t have any idea what the fuck he is doing.
Complete grown-ups are forwarding these messages without verifying them. These are all hoaxes and rumours that are simply adding to the chaos and worries of the people.
DAWN.com has confirmed from Pak Army that these text messages are fake.
Yes, we get it: you have one of those unlimited SMS bundles and you get all itchy if you don’t forward a text. There is enough uncertainty, fear and panic in Pakistan as it is. Please! I urge you not to spread these messages. It’s. Just. No. Good.

True that. There’s enough ACTUAL terrorism without us being tortured and frightened like this too.
Good show, Waisy.

lol. i got this text once asking me to call the number back cuz apparently my “credit card was used somewhere else”…and I actually did call the number only to realize 10 mins later that how the heck do they get my cell number to contact me. I never gave my bank this number..yeah i had to cancel all my cards and accounts right away to avoid any fraud. it sucked for about two weeks.

I can relate to how crappy it feels to receive such type of messages… “Karachi explosion (in the middle of your beautiful sleep)” or “forward this message to 10 people and the love of your life will marry you in 9 hours”
