The Shah Faisal Mosque is the largest and essentially the most beautiful mosque in South Asia, Pakistan. It can support more than 300,000 worshippers and is the fourth largest mosque in the world!
It was designed by famous Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay. He received the Agha Khan Architectural Award for the highly unique and captivating design.
It is one of the most outstanding and modern Islamic architecture examples in the world.

the architect participated in a design competition by MDA (Government Development Authority of Pakistan) , for a reward of 90thousand pakistani rupees. he came first… luckily he was given the chance to implement the design. Pak Zindabad.
